Between Fife and the Highlands, Perth and Kinross is located in the centre of Scotland. As well as the city of Perth, it includes the towns of Pitlochry and Aberfeldy, as well as part of the Cairngorms National Park.
Perth
Built on the banks of the River Tay, Perth is a lovely city, within easy travelling distance of Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow. As well as superb local attractions and activities, there are some excellent nearby historical sites such as Scone Palace and The Black Watch Castle and Museum, as well as Outlander location Tibbermore Church. Crieff
Famous for its whisky and history of cattle droving, Crieff is a picturesque market town, well located for tourists visiting surrounding attractions. Some sites of interest for visitors include Tullibardine Chapel and Drummond Castle Gardens, both used in Outlander season 2, and Abercairney Estates, used during season 4 filming. An excellent place to stay when in the area is the Knock Castle Hotel and Spa.

Pitlochry
Situated within 30 minutes drive of Kinloch Rannoch, the site of Criagh na Dun, Pitlochry is popular with tourists and day-trippers alike. An excellent place to stay is the upscale Claymore Guest House.
